About Us

Forest Lake is a horizontal directional drilling company that performs trenchless installations for mulitple purposes - listed on our home page.  Founded in 1996 by Grant Durtschi, Trey Schenken bought the company in 2012.  We are small company that takes pride in our work product and working with our customers to find optimal solutions.  Our goal is to be a qulity provider that maintains long term customer relationships.

Our shop and yard is located outside Etna, WY.  This situates us well to serve Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho.  We often work in Jackson Hole, Alpine, Star Valley, Thayne, Afton, Idaho Falls, Rigby, Rexburg, and will certainly travel further if necessary. We are Wyoming residents licensed in Idaho and Utah.

We have several drills and have performed installations from simple driveways to more technical off of 150' cliffs, to longer 750' bores.  We primarily install (can fuse) HDPE, but also have experience with fusible PVC, steel casing, and PVC.  We have installed diameters up to 14" and have the ability to go larger.  Our customers range from individual property owners to large utility corporations to even larger government projects.  Give us a call and we can discuss your project.
